MSCCRC x BeaverTails
November 5, 2024
We're back with another MSCCRC and BeaverTails event! Whether you need a break from studying or you just want to treat yourself, swing by the outside of Redpath Museum from 10 am - 5 pm to pick up a BeaverTail. The proceeds that we receive will go toward supporting the Canadian Red Cross in their efforts at home and abroad.

Looking for a pick me up before finals start? The MSCCRC has an upcoming opportunity to treat yourself while making a difference! On behalf of our chapter, BeaverTails is sending a truck to Downtown Campus on Tuesday, April 9th from 10am- 5:30pm. All of our proceeds from sales will go towards a donation to the Canadian Red Cross. Whether you want a break from studying or you’re just craving something sweet, be sure to buy a beavertail on April 9th by the Y-intersection!
Valentine's Raffle

MSCCRC is holding a Valentine's raffle in the McConnell Engineering Corridor where all proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross. You could be the lucky winner of a Chef on Call or Alto's gift card!
Holiday Candy Sale

Getting ready to celebrate the upcoming holidays? Stop by our Holiday Candy Sale, Tuesday December 5th in the McConnell Engineering hallway from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.! The candy bags will have candy canes and chocolates and will be sold at $2 each. All proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross to help them give hope this holiday season! Looking forward to seeing you there!

Lecture Series: Disaster Speaks

MSCCRC brings you Disaster Speaks, a presentation on the scientific side of natural disasters as well as a bit of historical background on one of the methods people used in religious context to fight health disasters like the plague. Speakers include: Prof. John Stix from the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, and Ben Crosby a PhD student in Ecclesiastical History at the School of Religious Studies.
First Aid Kit Fundraiser

McGill Students' Chapter of the Canadian Red Cross is holding a fundraiser to collect funds for the Canadian Red Cross. Depending on the donation amount, you can receive a free first aid kit and a sticker.

MSCCRC brings you a Presentation on Medicine and Disease: historical and contemporary. We have three amazing speakers who will give diverse talks on infectious disease, first aid and social history. Speakers include: Professor Elsbeth Heaman, R.N. Elizabeth Murphy-Lavellée and Dr. Maria Arrieta.
Winter Clothing Drive in Collaboration with the Montreal General Hospital

In partnership with the Montreal General Hospital, we are holding a Winter Clothing Drive. Every year, many patients go without proper winter apparel, and with the recent influx of refugees, the need is greater than ever. Donations are collected at several locations on campus. All the clothes collected with be delivered to the Montreal General Hospital.
Care Package Fundraiser
March 12- March 23, 2018
The McGill Students' Chapter of the Canadian Red Cross is selling care packages (containing clothes, toiletries, and non-perishable food) and they will be donated to Dans La Rue.

Movie Screening for Landmine Awareness

McGill Students' Chapter of the Canadian Red Cross is hosting a free movie screening, along with a panel discussion on landmine crisis. Drinks and snacks are provided. All proceeds go to the Canadian Red Cross Refugee Crisis Appeal.
Coffee House

In collaboration with Dream Corps McGill Chapter, we are hosting a coffee house, featuring live performances from McGill Students Chinese Music Society, 2KSquadTV, and many others! Snacks, coffee, and drinks are provided. The proceeds go to donation of books and constructions of libraries in rural China.
Room Escape
November 6 & November 7, 2015
McGill Students' Chapter of the Canadian Red Cross proudly presents the first edition of Room Escape. Participants in groups of 4-10 have 45 minutes to solve all the puzzles and escape to freedom. All proceeds go to the Canadian Red Cross.
